Stripe is a payments company, not a paperwork company. It generates no branded receipts, no renewal letters, no year-end statements: just API data and generic emails. The moment a customer asks for something printable, you're copying numbers into Word by hand.
Five datasets, each filterable
Customers
Name, email, phone, address, balance, delinquency status, card brand and last four.
Invoices
Status filters (open, paid, past due…) with days overdue computed per invoice: the dunning-letter dataset.
Subscriptions
Plan, amount, interval, current period end, trial end, cancel-at-period-end: the renewal-notice dataset.
Payments
Charges with amounts, receipt numbers, card details, and refunds: the receipt dataset.
Payment summaries
One row per customer per year: total paid, payment count, first and last payment, the year-end-statement dataset.
Access: MergeNinja connects through Stripe Connect and only ever reads. It does not move money, change subscriptions, or see full card numbers (Stripe only exposes the brand and last four digits). Stripe limits its read-only scope to a category of app MergeNinja is not, so the connection is authorized read_write: MergeNinja never issues a write call. The security page spells this out. Frequently asked questions
How does the Stripe connection work?
Through Stripe Connect OAuth. You authorize on Stripe’s site, and you can revoke access there or from MergeNinja Settings at any time. MergeNinja only ever reads your Stripe data. The security page covers exactly which scope Stripe grants and why.
Can MergeNinja see card numbers or move money?
No to both. Stripe never exposes full card numbers to connected apps (only brand and last four), and MergeNinja issues no write calls at all: no charges, no refunds, no payout changes.
What is a payment summary?
An aggregated dataset: one row per customer per year with total paid, number of payments, and first and last payment dates. It exists precisely for year-end statements.
Are amounts in cents?
Stripe stores cents; MergeNinja converts to decimal amounts at sync, so your letter says $1,240.00. No formulas needed.
